"From the very beginning, C. Kiehl Photography stood out from every photographer we found on The Knot. The warmth, joy, and authenticity in Cayla’s photos immediately pulled us in — it was exactly the energy we hoped to see in our own wedding gallery. (Spoiler: she delivered all that and more.) Even before we officially booked, Cayla impressed us. We live out of state, so we scheduled a video call with her. She was so flexible and understanding, even when we showed up late and had to reschedule because my husband wasn’t feeling well. Once we finally connected, we instantly knew she was “the one.” Her vibe was calm, kind, and genuinely excited for our day — it felt like talking to a friend. As the wedding approached, Cayla asked us to send a detailed list of photo combinations we wanted. That alone made our day run smoothly—it kept everything organized and ensured no important moment or person was missed. She came in with a plan, but still kept everything relaxed and natural. On the wedding day, (June 19, 2025) she arrived right on time and jumped straight into capturing thoughtful, candid, and meaningful moments—even while I was rushing through the fastest hair and makeup session of my life. Somehow, she made the chaos look beautiful. That is a rare skill. Then the ceremony came… and honestly? We still don’t know how she got half the angles she did. It’s like she teleported. Every moment — the big ones and the quiet ones — she caught them from the perfect perspective. She managed to be everywhere while still letting everything feel intimate and real. Also, we were honest and told Cayla that we had no clue how to pose — and she said ‘I got you,’ and she really did. Cayla didn’t just take photos — she helped us feel comfortable in them. She guided us through every pose in a way that felt natural and sincere, and because of her, our photos look like real moments, not stiff portraits. We had a small wedding—about 50 guests—and went with the 8-hour package. It was worth every penny. We had a limited budget, so we DIY’d a lot of things that only mattered for the day itself… but when it came to what would last forever, we chose to invest in photography. Choosing Cayla was absolutely the right decision. Photos are forever, and she gave us memories that look and feel just as magical as the day itself. Our photos are everything we hoped for: warm, joyful, intimate, and full of life. They feel like us. We are so grateful we trusted her with our day, and we recommend C.
